in Washington Co., PA web site in January 1998.
Karen states:
[NOTE: * will of GEORGE M. GEHO filed in Fayette City, Fayette county,
Pennsylvania in 1887]
Know all men by these presents that I JOHN GEHO, of Allen Township in the
county of Washington, State of Pennsylvania, farmer, being of sound
disposing mind and memory, do make and publish this my last will and
testament.
First: I want all my debts paid.
Second: I do will and bequeath that my wife ELLEN GEHO do have her living
off my estate so long as she lives.
Third: I give and bequeath of the residue of my estate as follows, viz: to
ELI GEHO, son of JAMES GEHO at the rate of two dollars; GEORGE GEHO, at the
rate of four dollars and fifty cents; SARAH GEHO KENNEDY at the rate of
four dollars; WILLIAM GEHO at the rate of five dollars; ELLEN GEHO at the
rate of four dollars, also one lot in California, Washington county,
Pennsylvania for services rendered since she came of age; MANLIFF J. GEHO
at the rate of five dollars.
Fourth: I will that my real estate shall be sold within one year from the
date of my death.
Fifth: I will that GEORGE M. GEHO* and ROBERT GREGG act as agents for my
wife.
Sixth: I ordain and appoint GEORGE M. GEHO as Executor of this my last Will
and Testament. In testimony where of I have hereunto set my hand and seal
and publish and declare this to be my last will ....(illegible) the purpose
of the witnesses named, this nineteenth day of December in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixty five.
Signed, sealed, published and declared by the said JOHN GEHO as and for his
last will TESTAMENT, in presence of us, who at his request and in his
presence and in the presence of each other, have subscribed our names as
witnesses hereto-
