Will of Elisha Jolly

In the name of God Amen, I Elisha Jolly of Canton Twp.county of 
Washington being of sound and disposing mind and memory and understanding 
yet knowing the uncertainy of life do make and publish the following as and 
for my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all others. 
First; I order and direct that all my just debts and funeral expenses be 
paid my executor herein afterwards named.

2nd.To my two sons John and Richard I give and direct the plantation on 
which I now live to be equally divided between them their heirs and 
assigns, subject to and charged with the legacies and provisions herein 
after mentioned and to my said two sons I also give and bequeath the 
windmill and cutting box in the barn.

3rd To my dear wife Sarah I give and bequeath one feather bed and bedding, 
one cow of her choice. The front two rooms on the ground floor of my 
present dwelling house and a comfortable support and maintenance during her 
natural life or widowhood including the nice fray ready furnished and fit 
for use- all which support and maintenance and feed and pasture is to be 
furnished and divided between my sons John and Richard.

4thTo my grandchildren, of my daughter Polly Brownlee,dec'd I give and 
bequeath the sum of five dollars to be paid to them by my sons John and 
Richard.

5th To my daughter Phoebe Runyon I give and bequeath the sum of one hundred 
and fifty eight dollars and 33 cents to be paid to her by my sons John and 
Richard, one half at the expiration of three years and the balance at the 
expiration of six years after my decease.

6th To my daughter Anna Ely I give and bequeath the sum of one hundred and 
fifty eight dollars and 33 cents to be paid in a like manner.

7th To my daughter Sarah Day I give and bequeath the sum of one hundred and 
fifty eight dollars and 33 cents to be paid in the same manner.

8th To my son Charles Jolly I give and bequeath to him all the debts due by 
him to me by note or other wise and to my said son Charles in trust for the 
benefit and use of his children I give and bequeath the sum of one hundred 
and fifty eight dollars and 33 cents to paid as my other legacies. 

8th To my son Stephen I give and bequeath the debts due me by him by note 
or otherwise and also give and bequeath to him one hundred and fifty eight 
dollars and 33 cents to be paid in a like manner.

9th To my son Elisha Jolly I give and bequeath the sum of one hundred and 
fifty eight dollars and 33 cents to him in like manner

10th To my son Abraham I have already given him his full share of my 
estate.

12th After payment of my just debts and funeral expenses I order and direct 
my executors to divide among all my heirs what may remain on the sale of 
all my personal estate not otherwise disposed of in this Will.

Lastly I nominate and appoint my son John Jolly, Martin Ely and Ebenezer 
Brownlee to be the executors of this my last Will and Testament. In Witness 
thereof I hereby set my hand and seal this 4th day of May AD 1832
