The Census of 9/6/1850 for the State of Virginia Census (Page 324,
Distr. 26, Family #471) shows ABRAHAM WILSON, age 55, farmer,
born in Pennslyvania; his wife being Sarah, age 55 born in England
and their six children; James, Theodore (Dore), John, Mary Ann,
Francis C. (Frank) and Mary Ann.

Mrs. James Wilson (Margaret Carson) was born 2/13/1838, New
Manchester (Pughtown), Hancock Co. WV, daughter of Wm. Carson
and Martha Haney Carson. She was the granddaughter of Samuel
Carson. Margaret was known to have at least one sister who was
named Ann. Margaret died 3/14/1925 and is buried in Mt. Pleasant
Cemtery, Cameron, Mo.
James & Margaret's first home was in Hancock Co., WV
(near New Cumberland).
From 8/12/1862-6/16/1865, James served as a Corporal in the Civil War
with Co I, 12th Reg WVa Inf. Vol. He enlisted in Manchester, West Virginia.
