John Knestrick landed in Philadelphia Sept 26 1741 coming from a 
      German-speaking country. He likely lived in eastern Pa. for a while before 
      moving to Maryland. He was married about 1744. He died in the fall of 1784 in 
      Washington County, Maryland between Hagerstown and Boonsboro. His estate names 
      five children: 
           Catherine m1 Chaney m2 Dutwiler, Frederick, Henry, John, 
      Magdalena m. Henry Eder
           The son, Henry, was born in West Bethlehem Twp., Washington Co. Pa. by 
      1792. He was born about 1751, died about 1835. His wife's name was Elizabeth. 
      Their children were:
