More on Michael Ely
In an article in the KEYHOLE, XI, 109 (July 1983) data was given on two
Michael Elys. After this was published the baptismal record for most of the
children of one of them was found at the Bindnagel Lutheran Church, North
Londonderry Township, Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. (See Egle's NOTES AND
QUERIES, Series III, vol 2, 237.)

There were two Michael Elys (relation unknown) about the same age. One

are in the tax lists, the 1790 census and the 1798 Direct Tax (on houses).
Their relation to George Ely of nearby Finley Township is unknown.
