Seibert-Sibert
Bernard Seibert was baptized on May 20-1717 by Pastor Friedrich Ludwig Euler at Wolfersweiler, Saarland. His godparents were: Bernard Seibert, Eitzweiler (uncle), Michael Saar, Wolfersweiler (cousin), Catharine (wife of Christian) Seibert (cousin).

His home was at nearby Eitzweiler.When he left for Pennsylvania in 1738, at 21, he left behind his parents, Nicholas (1679-1766) and Mary (Molter) (1681-1769). His paternal grandparents were dead: Hans Seibert (1639-1694) and Barbara Spengler (1645-1699). His maternal grandparents of Bosen were: Peter Molter (1655-1736) and Catharine Saar (1646-1738). He left behind five brothers and a sister.

The ancestry of Hans Seibert, above, is Nickel (1586-1666), Eitzweiler - Klaus (c1560-1593), Diedelkopf, Pfalz - Klaus (c1530-1590), also of Diedelkopf. Bernard Seibert landed at Philadelphia October 25-1738 - one of many to go to Pennsylvania from the Wolfersweiler region. He, first, went west to Tulpehocken, Berks County. From here he went to Shenandoah (then Frederick) County, Virginia, where about 1745 he married Elizabeth ?Jager. A 400-acre tract was surveyed for him April 27-1750 - land belonging to Lord Fairfax.

Bernard’s will, written May 20-1801 and probated July 13-1801. There were 6 sons: Moses, Isaac, Jacob, Barnet, Adam, Peter and 2 daughters: Mary and Elizabeth. Moses and Jacob stayed in Virginia, the others went to Pennsylvania. Isaac and Adam bought land in Washington County, Pennsylvania in 1806. They changed the spelling of their names to Sibert.

In 1820 Isaac was living in Morgan Township, Greene County. Adam died in Morris Township, Washington County in September 1825. Isaac (I) was born about 1749 and about 1774 married Hannah ---. He sold his Virginia land October 9-1805 and bought land in Pennsylvania February 16-1806. There is record of these children:

Adam sold his Virginia land October 7-1805 and moved to Washington County. There is record of these children of Adam:
