A list of cities, boroughs, and villages in 1900 lists
a Homeville in Mifflin Twp., Allegheny Co. The current list
of cities, twps, and boroughs does not contain a Homeville in
Allegheny Co. The town could very well have been eaten up in
the urban sprawl around Pittsburgh.
In 1782, Washington Co. was much larger than today and contained
parts of what are now Allegheny Co. You will need to do a little
more research (check with the reference librarian at Carnegie
Library of Pittsburgh) to find out if the area in Mifflin Twp. in
1900 was part of the area annexed from Washington Co. in 1788.
