| Body: | Joseph HILL Sr. purchased land in Bethlehem twp 1784. Beth divided into East and West Beth in 1788. HORN PAPERS shows Joseph on the western border of EAST Beth. 1790 Census has Joseph in EAST Beth, but 1800 Census (and subsequent records) has him in WEST Beth (and his son Joseph Jr. in EAST Beth). QUESTION: Where can I find information about township boundary changes? Bethlehem continued to be subdivided later into North and South Bethlehem. Very confusing! |
