I am looking for Samuel Henderson's Parents, etc. He was born 1817 in PA, probably Washington Co. and m. Elizabeth Lowther, b. 1825, also in PA, m. 16 Oct 1840. They are buried in Millersburg, OH so Holmes Co. or Wayne Co. are possible homeground. Any information you might have would be most appreciated. The only records I have been able to find is on Edward Henderson in Holmes Co. and his family. He came from Ireland and was naturalized in 1812.

Looking for the Hoey family whose children were born in the Washington/Chambersburg area. John Hoy was born in Wales or Ireland in 1803 - Married Mary Underwood(e) in 1835 in Chambersburg. Their children were John, Peter and Catherine Mary. Peter added a 'e' to Hoy and became HOEY. He married Nancy Jane Taylor in 1867. Their children were Edward Wilbur, Frank John and Harold Walter (Harry). Frank John, my Grandfather, married Emma Jane McCay in 1899. They were both born in Washington, PA. I have asked about this previously, but will try again. My ggrandfather Samuel Beal Smith, Son of Rebecca Beall Smith was born in WAshington County, Pennsylvania on Jun 11 , 1828. He moved to Ohio where he married. He moved to Iowa and lived in Keokuk County. In the 1870 U.S. Census, he had living in his household two young. We assume they were brother and sister. They yound man was 19 years old and named John Smith. The young girl was named Rebecca Smith and was 12 years old. Since the family originally was from Washington County we feel that these young people were also from the area. We feel that they were niece and nephew of SamuelB. Smith.
Is there any Smith researchers that have any idea about my Smith?

William HARFORD b. 1816 d. 1866 Sp. Sarah Ann CRAFT. Lived in E. Bethlehem TWP at least during 1840-1850. Other HARFORD names in the same TWP include Caleb, John M, Thomas, Jane, and Charles. Daniel HARFORD was listed in Washington TWP in 1840. Was Caleb HARFORD the father of William and the others? Crumine’s History mentions Caleb HARFORD 2 times. In 1834 in connection with the Methodist Church Society and in 1838 in the Cumberland Presbyterian Society. Is this the same Caleb HARFORD who was in Chester County in 1800? My grandfather, Caleb Newton HARFORD, was the son of William HARFORD and I always believed that he was born in Fayette Co. in Redstone TWP IN 1846. His maternal grandparents (Rev. George B. CRAFT) lived in Redstone TWP. His sister, Leonora V. HARFORD b. 1848, PA. d. 1928, sp.. J. Dent NOBLE b. 1844. They may have had sons named Clarence and Levi NOBLE.. William had one more son who was born in 1851 and he died at about age 20. I would like to hear from NOBLE descendants as well as other HARFORD researchers. Thank you.

Looking for information on family named WICK, living in Washington County in the late 1700's to early 1800's. I have found reference to three households, including Henry WICK, William WICK and Samuel WICK. 1793 tax lists for Washington County show them living in Amwell Twp., with Henry listed as a tavern keeper. Also, the 1800 census shows the above three WICK gentlemen living in Washington County, with two of them, Henry and William, having male children of age to be my GGG grandfather, Henry WIKE (1800-1861), who lived his adult life in what is now Blair County, Pa. Unfortunately, these WICK gentlemen seem to disappear after the 1800 census. Anyone know anything of these people?

I am trying to find the name of my ancestor HANNAH ANNE MC ALISTER in some identifying record. The only "firm" statement about her was from her obituary which stated that she had been born 9/16/1856 near Finleyville in Peters Township.
-From her death certificate, the parents are identified as JAMES MC ALISTER & JANE "JENNIE" MC CLUGAGE/MC CLUGGAGE. The surname MC CLUGAGE also appears on the 1840 Peters Twp. census.
-Hannah seems to have the following siblings: ISABELLA "BELLE"; J. T.; GEORGE C. [from her obit]
I found a "Belle" Mc Allister living in 1870 Peters Twp. (age of 30, so born abt. 1840 which is what I need it to be), in a house with (unknown relationship) Anne Smith (age 76) and Jane Smith (age 50). Later, I believe "Belle" marries James Cothery, Jr. and they live in the Dravosburg area.

My reserach on the McBride line leads me back to Washington County - John M McBride, born in 1849 and died in 1932, who married Esther Bigger in 1882, possibly in Bavingtom, Pa. Both families seem to have been prominant and numerous in the area. Although I believe I have found Esther and her family I have been unable to establish a definite link for John. Any information would be much appreciated.

SIO on the Linn family of Monogahela, PA. Franklin L. Linn was born on 2 October 1844 and buried in the Monogahelia Cemetary in May of 1917. A trip to Wales is planned for June and I am desperate to find Welsh

I am searching John Munn born Washington Pa. 1803. He was married first to a Rachel Atchison, in Pa. Second to Sophia Pearson in Wayne County Ohio, Third to Phebe Homan in Wayne County Ohio.
Seems to have left Pa. in the 1830's for Ohio. With his second wife moved to Platte County Mo.by 1840. Went back to Wayne County Ohio in the mid. 1840's. Then for a short time was in Armstrong Pa. Had a son Silas Munn who was born in Perry Twp. around Millers Eddy.
Went to Cedar County Iowa by 1850 and lived there till he died in 1897.
There also seems to be a tie with the Thomas family of Washington County Pa. Liverton Thomas and a John Munn are in the 1790 census. My John Munn born 1803 has a son Liverton Thomas Munn. In Armstrong County Pa. at the Wally cemetery there is a David Munn and son Levrton Munn. Since my John Munn also had a son Liverton Munn am trying to make a connection. Can anyone help???

I'm searching for the parents of Major James Crawford b. ca. 1810, Mt. Pleasant Township,
and the parents of his wife Margaret Maurin Witherspoon b. ca. 1824. I believe James' father's
name was William Crawford. I have no information on Margaret's parents.

I am looking for the gravesite of my great grandfather Frank N Donaldson also known as Frank Vaneman Donaldson, he was born in Candor, Pa approximately 1870 the son of Thomas & Margaret McFarland Donaldson. His death date is listed as December 25, 1944 in Jewett, Ohio, with Burial in Candor,Pa. At the time of his death he was married to Clara McNeal or Neal Donaldson. If there is anyone that can give me some information on this cementary and how to obtain burial plot information I would sincerely appreciate it.

My NORFOLKS moved from Calvert County, MD to Monongahela area of PA. Thomas H. Norfolk(b. abt. 1821) was married to Mary REDDING. They had at least two children: John T. NORFOLK and William NORFOLK.
