He married Mary Stolze of Washington Co, PA in the late 1920's; they had four daughters, Shirley, Edith, Karen, and Mary Catherine. I believe they lived in the area of Eighty Four, PA. Oral's parents were Thomas Adams and Emma Brenton. At some point, Oral and Mary moved back to Gibson County IN but their oldest daughter, Shirley, married and lived in Washington Co, PA. My Grandfather was Edward E. Phillips (Born in 1912. His parents were Ada & E.C. Phillips. Does Any of these names ring a bell in the Town of Washington? Ada & E.C. were probally born 1888-1895 (I wish I had more to go on) Can't even find evidence that they ever existed, have needed to know for so long. prehaps marrige records of Ada & E.C. phillips or Divorce records for Edward E. Found this in my husband's grandfather's memories that he wrote: “The female in this couple was a laughing, joke loving, dark haired Irish lass named SARAH DIXON. Sarah’s father had died when she was quite young, leaving a wife and several young children. The Rockyfellers, a neighboring family, had taken and reared Sarah.” Sarah was b: 15 Oct 1854, East Finley, Washington Co., PA. I believe her father was Robert DIXON and mother Emily HUNT. I believe they lived in the county seat at one time.

Looking for information on Joseph Dudek (changed his name at some point to Dudick) who was born in Babica (Galicia, Austria-Hungary), Poland in 1891 and came to the Pittsburgh area about 1905. His wife was Catherine Cieslak (or Cheslock). While married they lived in Canonsburg and for a time Joseph owned an auto repair shop (for Model A's & T's) called Dudek Craig Street Repair on North Craig Street. Please note change of e-mail address from previous query in volume 19 for Harford and Noble. I also have additional information about Caleb Harford,(d. 1841 near Fredericktown) father of Thomas, William, and Eliza. I suspect that there were others, but they were not mentioned in his will. Does anyone know his wife Jane's maiden name? His sister-in-law was Elizabeth Smith. A niece was Sarah Harford. Daughter Eliza Sellers and grandson Caleb Sellers. Does anyone know about any of these people or their descendants? Caleb was my gg grandfather through son William, grandson Caleb Newton Harford, and gt-grandson Boyd Emory Harford.
Caleb is first found in 1810 census in E. Bethlehem TWP. Or was he there earlier?

McDonald, Nathaniel recorded a will in Washington County, PA, dated 1826. His wife was Elizabeth and children were:William, Eloner, Rebecka, John, Jean, Nethanial (who I believe is my gg grandfather), and Elizabeth. The will says he is leaving land in Ohio(Ganesville in the military district) and land in Cecil Township of Washington Co., PA. This is the only information I have about Nathaniel (of 1826 will). There is a Nathaniel McDonald listed/w family on 1810 and 1820 Wash. Co. census reports - nothing earlier. Does this connect with anybody's family. Any information would be most appreciated. Looking for info on a HENRY MYERS of Scenery Hill. A barn he built (still standing) has his name and date 1860 on corner stone. Barn is on old Myers homestead where also sets the Myers School (one room schoolhouse now converted to home). Isaac Smith, born 1788 (per Isaac) or 1804 (per census) in Williamsport, Washington, Co. was the son of Samuel Smith and Sally Watt. As a young man, he and his brother, Samuel, built and operated keelboats on the Monongahela River. One day, he saw "the most beautiful girl he had ever seen" on the riverbank. Her name was Sarah Hutson and she became Isaac's wife. By 1839, he had sold his business and moved to West Virginia. Any information on this family appreciated!

I am looking for information on Henry D. Swearengen. I know that he was born abt. 1826 possibly in Pa. He died in 1892 and my grandmother stated that he is buried in Midway, PA. I am researching the Kinder family in southwestern Pa. and northern Oh and have come accross an account of a Kinder clan reunion reported in the Washington, Pa. newspaper on Dec. ??, Mon ??, 1952. I know the date because my sister(age incorrectly reported as 6 months instead of nine months) was reported as the youngest Kinder in attendance. The last half of the article was torn off. It listed some of those in attendance as well as the elected "officers" of the clan who were planning future events. Any help is appreciated in securing a copy of this article.
Another request is for the obit. on Lloyd Kinder, son of Earnest Kinder, of Scenery Hill. I believe Lloyd (known as sonny), who was a truck driver at the air compressor plant (name escapes me) near Washington, and was last known to be dying of cancer around the year 1985. He and his wife were also researching the Kinder clan and had access to some old family bible records I believe.
