Looking for family information on William Freeman, born on ship from England to America on Oct. 23, 1788. Family settled in Pittsburg. William became teacher, lawyer, sheriff and other county offices. He married Martha Jane Casebeer, a PA native b July 29, 1779. William d. June 7, 1827. The story goes that he was a Mason, owner of considerable property and was a contractor. Any information would be appreciated.

Samuel stated on his pension application that in 1783 he briefly lived with his father (Daniel) in Washington Co., PA. Can provide additional information (not a lot) on other children. The HARRIS and DEMAREE families were part of the Conewago, PA/Berkeley Co., VA/Kentucky migration of the Low Dutch. James Holmes and Margaret Thompson initially resided with one of her brothers near Canonsburg. He and a brother Thomas purchased a farm in Westmoreland County, later returning to Cross Creek Twp. First on the McCorkle farm and then on the Dinsmore farm. James and Margaret eventually purchased the McKibbon farm. The brother Thomas Holmes went West to Iowa. My ggg grandmother was Elizabeth Greathouse (abt 1771-1841) Her first marriage was to a Mr. Munce/Munse/Munsey and we think she had a child Treaney or Freaney.
Her second marriage was in 1803 to Thomas Hamilton Brownlee. They lived in Washington Co., PA and had a daughter Susan Brownlee.
