Youngest of four brothers...All came to Eda Glass Works in Sweden and became Master Glass Blowers....He married and enroute to USA in Aug.1887.. destined to Pittsburgh, Pa. Wife died enroute and buried at sea. He remarried a Mary Kraft... Lived on Grant St. in Washington, Pa and died their in 1906.... Any information or help will be greatly appreciated.

    Jeremiah Woods died in Yohogania Co., Virginia in 1776. I would like to have a copy of the will. It was contested by son, Tobias, so I have to believe that there is a will. Also any informatoiin about where Jeremiah came from, who his wife is and where his father Tobias lived.
    Also looking for any material on Rev. Robert Worster and his wife, Mary Gorman Worster., and their children.

    Seeking Daniel Dod, any information on John Dodd, spouse Mary Ashbrooke. John was killed in 1794 by Indians when returning from New Orleans on horseback. I am trying to link him to Daniel Dod who immigrated to MA circa 1636-1646. According to John's Will, his father was named Charles as was his son but I cannot find any information on any of them. John's daughter, Mary Dodd married James Chambers and I am a great-great-great granddaughter of James Chambers who immigrated to Washington, PA around 1797 with his parents and his five siblings from Downpatrick, Ireland. I appreciate any information.

    McGlumphy came to PA in 1780's and still have living ancesters today living in PA; Poland came to PA around 1800. Smith that married into the Poland and McGlumphy's lines, were of Quaker background.     Elias Worrall(1798-1873),married Aves Smith McCall,March 1824.She was d/o Sylvester and Aves Richards Smith and widow of ?? McCall.I believe she had a son, Smith McCall. Elias Worrall was also named as an heir in Emmanuel Dixon's will of 1835. Emmanuel was s/o Joshua Dixon (founder of Columbiana, OH). He was married to Mary McCall. The Dixons were from Chester Co., PA and the Smiths were from Sussex Co.,DE. The McCalls, I believe may have come from Chester or Lancaster Co. Does anyone know the relationship between these families??

He married Francis Elizabeth Clemens, had 3 children: James Bryant, Mary, & Donald Edward. Donald referred to an Aunt Netty, believed to be Fernessa Irene McQuown, b. 1874. Thomas & Fernessa may be children of, or related to, John Lilbert McQuown's widow Nancy Melissa (Martin) McQuown, age 15 when she married John & 23 when John died. John's younger brother was Thomas.     I have a map of early Washington County, PA showing two land warrants under the name JAMES WOOD. I notice also that James Wood was granted several parcels of land in Washington County in the 1780s and 1790s. Does anyone know who this James WOOD was? I have an ancestor named James WOOD who owned land in present day Greene County, PA until he sold it in the 1820s and moved to Wetzel County, (W)VA. He was born in Maryland about 1765 and married Sarah (maiden name unknown) who was born in Maryland about 1775. I am wondering if my James WOOD is the same person who owned the lands granted in Washington County. Greene was part of Washington until 1796. Any information on this man would be greatly appreciated.

Andrew GALASPY/GILLESPIE (the father) died in 1819 in Brown Co., OH. His will dated 23 Apr 1819 mentions his son Daniel, his wife, Nancy, and his daughters as cited herein. This will is in Will Book I, Pages 12-13 in Brown Co., OH Probate Records. I would like to make contact with anyone working on these lines. All of the family eventally moved to Brown Co., OH and the children all married and had descendants.

    I am searching for information on my gggrandmother and family. Elizabeth Rolsen Robb married John Robb. Their daughter, My ggrandmother, Esther, was born in Florence, Washington County, PA. They were also the parents of Isiah Robb and Robert Robb. I believe both Isiah and Robert died in Washington County, PA. Elizabeth and John Robb appears in the 1850 Census in Washington County, PA. Sometime before 1860 they moved to Tuscarawas County, Ohio where John died and was buried. I have never been able to find Elizabeth's grave. John willed a property in Florence, PA to one of his sons. At the time of his death (1860) his son Robert was deceased.
    Any help will be appreciated.

I also know they had another John who married Mary Catherine Razor in Jefferson County, KY. From there on I do pretty good. I have info that John immigrated from Ireland and settled in Waynesburg, east of the mountains. They were there prior to the Whiskey Insurrection. He purchased property on 16 May 1795. He also bought property on Racoon Creek. Does anyone know anything about him?

    In the 1850 census for N. Strabane township, the 76th household lists George and Prudence PALMER with 11 children with the surname HAMILTON. Are the children orphans, or are they Prudence's children from a prior marriage? I'm curious because my 2g grandparents, Alex and Jane HAMILTON are the 77th household, and Alex had a brother, James, that I've lost somewhere.

    My information comes from my late brother-in-law, Boyd I. DeVore, the son of Owen DeVore and grandson of Alexander DeVore and gr-grandson of Andrew.. Andrew has a brother, Samuel and his Dar references indicated they
    were born in France and were living in France as late as 1751. They were no doubt living there later than that because Andrew was a General in the French Army and a soldier and officer in the Revolutionary War. The elder James DeVore settled near the present Monongahela, Pa. About 1770. James ran a ferry on the river until his death in 1779 Andrew was among some Hessian soldiers who were captured by Washington's troops.With a number of others he joined the American Army. In the summer of 1782 he settled in Nottingham Township, Pa. Washington Co. He lived there until his death Aug. 17, 1835 at the age of 97. Andrew was born a few weeks after his father's death.I have more on the descendents of these. I will be glad to share what I have. Can anyone tell me more about the ancestors of Alexander and document their arrival in America?
