SPENCE, John C. and wife Margaret Watson SPENCE: Lived in Monongchela, Washington Co. then moved to Pittsburgh where John was a Barber. They are the parents of Charles R. SPENCE. Charles married Edna Helena PITTSLEY in 1924. Charles and Edna are my Grandparents. Since my mother was raised in an orphanage, I have little information on them or this branch of the family. HUPP. Michael Hupp was b.4 Nov.1786, Wash. Co., Penna. We believe he is the same Michael Hupp who was the son of Everhart Hupp (1745-1824) of Wash. Co.Pa. He may also be the same Michael Hupp who served in the War of 1812 (SC #10862). By 1818, Michael Hupp and wife Hannah resided in Warren Co., Ohio. Their children included Harriett, Margaret, Joseph, Samuel, Lucetta, Mary A., James and Henry (we have descent info. on many of them). We seek confirmation of the pedigree of Michael HUPP, and his wife Hannah's maiden name.

Migrated to Monroe Co/Belmont Co. area in Ohio. Robert md. Isabella CREE (b. abt 1814). Think she may also have been born in Wash./Greene Co. area. They appear in the 1830 & 1840 census of Monroe County, Ohio. Basil died there. Robert & Isabella moved to Gentry Co., Missouri & are in the 1850 census there. Seeking information on John COLLIER, son of Isaac COLLIER,II and Elizabeth CRESAP. John was said to have been born in Va, reared in Kentucky, and returned to Maryland as a young man where he worked as a Wagoneer. He was the original proprietor of the old tavern at Mt. Augusta on the "Old Pike" from 1805 to death, in 1857. He purchased a farm in addison Township, Somerset Co., in 1810 from George Miller. This land was later sold to his daughter Maria and her husband Samual Frazee.
