Michael Paul Fiala, 83, of Dilliner, died Sunday, November 9, 1997, at his home. He was a member of Holy Family Church, Greensboro. Until his retirement, Mr. Fiala had worked as a coal miner for Duquesne Light Co. and was a member of UMWA Local 6310. He was a veteran of World War II and had served in the Pacific Theater. Mr. Fiala was also a member of VFW Post 6303, Greensboro, and the Slovak Catholic Sokal Lodge. Surviving is his wife, Mary Kuis Fiala. Also surviving are four children, Janet Mangiacarne of Uniontown, Connie Wallace of Mt. Morris, Marlene Warren of Spartansburg, S.C., and Michael Fiala of Uniontown; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; one brother, Paul Fiala, Greensboro; and two sisters, Rose McManis of Greensboro and Mary Matyk of Rices Landing.
