James Francis Brooks, 74, of Clairton, died Tuesday, November 11, 1997, at Jefferson Hospital. Mr. Brooks was a staff member of Newman-Winston Memorial Chapel in McKeesport. He was retired from U.S. Steel, Christy Park Works, McKeesport. He was married to Mary Elizabeth Harper Brooks, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Ronald Brooks of Detroit, Mich.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Marguerite Catlin of Washington; two brothers, Calvin Brooks of McKeesport and Charles Brooks of Philadelphia; and several nieces and nephews.
