John A. Lugaila, 79, of Hickory, died Tuesday, October 14, 1997, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Lugaila was a member of St. Alphonsus Church, McDonald. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II. Mr. Lugaila was a retired laborer from Cooper Power Systems, formerly McGraw-Edison. He enjoyed hunting and sports. He was married for 49 years to Josephine Dire Lugaila of Hickory. Also surviving are a sister, Agnes Kramer of Midway; two daughters, Therese Dott of Washington and Denise Hoyle of Bethel Park; and two grandchildren, Nicholas and Jeffrey. Deceased are three brothers, Joseph, Michael and Alex Lugaila; and two sisters, Bertha Truzzi and Mamie Kerekes. Copyright ©1997 Observer Publishing Co.
