Dorothy K. Simon, 80, of Canonsburg, died Saturday, November 29, 1997, in her home. During WWII, she served as a nurse in the army nurse corps. Before her retirement, Mrs. Simon, worked as a registered nurse at Canonsburg General Hospital. She has been a resident of Canonsburg for the past 45 years. On April 19, 1942, she married Samuel Simon, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Sarita Grace Taub of Torrence, Calif.; and a brother, Donald E. Kester of Houston, Texas. Also deceased are a brother, Byron Kester; and a sister, Katherine Edith Duncan. At the request of the deceased, there will be no public visitation and all services will be private.
