Hubert Henry Cooper, 92, of Claysville, formerly of West Alexander R.D.2, died Monday, October 20, 1997, in Humbert Lane Health Care Center, Washington, following a lengthy illness. A 1922 graduate of Triadelphia High School, Mr. Cooper was a self-employed farmer. He was also a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Claysville. On September 23, 1927, in Ohio County, W.Va., he married Carolyn McLain Cooper, who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Sarah C. Tinkey of Claysville and Martha Brownlee of Washington; a grandson, Michael Glenn Brownlee; and a great-grandson. Deceased are his stepfather, Andrew Joseph Varner; a brother, Charles Cooper; a sister, Sarah Lough; and a half brother, Joseph Varner. Copyright ©1997 Observer Publishing Co.
