Josephine "Jay" Kissell, 73, of Washington, died Wednesday, April 8, 1998, at her home. She was born August 13, 1924, in Marianna, a daughter of Matthew and Mary Yuchopik Elovich. She was a graduate of West Bethlehem High School, Marianna, and was a homemaker. She loved to read and enjoyed watching sports. On October 26, 1946, she married Dave John Kissell. Mr. Kissell died May 20, 1979. Surviving are a son, John Dave Kissell of Washington; a daughter, Mary Anne Peresutti of Washington; four brothers, John "Sonny" Elovich of Florida, Joseph Elovich of Hudson, Fla., William Elovich of Mentor, Ohio, and Robert Elovich of Kennewick, Wash.; four sisters, Margaret Petroff and Eleanor Messer, both of Bentleyville, Agnes Ruhlman of Franklin and Bonnie Turkalay of Vienna, Va.; three grandchildren, Jason and Nathan Kissell and Lauren Peresutti, all of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
