John J. Paranos, 79, of Barnickel Street, Meadows Lands, died Thursday, April 9, 1998, in Manor Care in McMurray, after a brief illness. Mr. Paranos was employed as a steel worker at Washington Steel for 20 years retiring in 1984 and also was employed as a bricklayer for many companies for many years. He was a member of Holy Trinity National Catholic Church, the Bears Club and the Bricklayers Union. Mr. Paranos served in the U.S. Marines during World War II. On March 2, 1954, he married Joan E. Rutkowski, who survives. Also surviving are a brother, Edward Gavalier of Meadow Lands; three sisters, Irene Furmanek of Meadow Lands, Ann K.
