George Belic, 78, of Monongahela, died Tuesday, April 14, 1998, in Meade Manor, Monongahela. Mr. Belic was a 1942 graduate of Monongahela High School and a 1952 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh School of Engineering and Business Administration. He retired in 1988 from Metallurgical Service & Supply Inc. of McKees Rocks. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II. He was very active in the Mon Valley Golden Panthers chapter and was a 25-year member of the University Club of Pittsburgh. Mr. Belic was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Monongahela; American Legion, Frank Downer Post 302; and the BPO Elks Lodge 455 and its golf league, both of Monongahela. Surviving are his wife, Mary Malyuk Belic, with whom he celebrated 47 years of marriage July 11, 1997. Also surviving are several brothers and sisters-in-law and nieces and nephews.
