Kenneth Wayne McDonald, 58, of Claysvile, died at 8:22 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 1998, in his home, after being ill since September 1996. Mr. McDonald was Protestant and was a 1968 graduate of West Alexander High School. He formerly was employed by Washington Steel Corp. and Wolfe Construction, and was a former welder with the Ironworkers Union, last employed by Blaw Knox Corp. in Wheeling, W.Va., for 22 years prior to retiring in 1993 due to disability and illness. Mr. McDonald was a veteran of the Vietnam War, where he served with the U.S. Army as a specialist 4 in the 160th Signal Group. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are a daughter, Stacy S. McDonald, at home; a sister, Julia Ann "Judy" Hunter of West Alexander R.D.1; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a brother, Paul Gary McDonald. Retired Claysville welder was Vietnam veteran
He was born January 30, 1940, in Donegal Township, a son of Paul Coburn and Margaret Elizabeth Hancher McDonald of Claysville R.D.2, and had resided in Donegal Township all of his life.
