John T. "Peewee" Morris, 62, of Marianna, died Wednesday, April 15, 1998, in Washington Hospital, following a brief illness. Mr. Morris attended Marianna area schools before serving in the U.S. Army for several years. He was employed by Bethlehem Mines Corp., Mine No. 58, for more than 18 years and later by Kuhn Flooring, from which he recently retired. Mr. Morris enjoyed gardening, fishing and the outdoors. On October 17, 1964, he married Joan Bane, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Nancy Wicks of Washington; a son, John L. Morris of Marianna; five sisters, Edna May Renno of Butler, Thelma Hutchinson of Marianna, Shirley Raticia of Denbo, Barbara Adamson and Deatra Bennington, both of Marianna; three brothers, Kenny Morris of Mather, Edward Morris of Clarksville and Robert Morris of Marianna; three grandchildren, Jonathan and Joshua Wicks and Elizabeth Morris; and several nieces and nephews.
