John W. Pascoe, 77, of Midway, died Tuesday, April 14, 1998, in his home. Mr. Pascoe was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy. He was a member of McDonald VFW and the American Legion. Surviving are his wife, Elvira Mae Pascoe; a daughter, Amy Bishop of Reading; two granddaughters; a sister; two brothers; a stepdaughter, Vanessa Lee of Dallas, Texas; three stepsons, James VanGorder of Jacksonville, N.C., Fred VanGorder of Haulock, N.C., and Lester VanGorder of Langeloth; and 12 step-grandchildren.
