Gayle M. Tebay, 76, of 479 South Eberhart Road, Butler, died at 2:58 p.m. Wednesday, April 15, in Butler Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 9, 1921, in Washington, a daughter of Brady and Edna Switzer Marble.
Mrs. Tebay was an elementary school teacher and taught in Washington, Mt. Lebanon, Pittsburgh and the Northwest School in Butler. She graduated from Slippery Rock University in 1943.
Mrs. Tebay was a member of St. Andrews United Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday school, directed youth choirs and led youth musical programs.
She also was a member of Who's Who in American Universities and Colleges.
Surviving are her husband, William R. Tebay, whom she married in 1945; two sons, James Tebay of Atlanta, Ga., and Scott Tebay of Butler; and four grandchildren.
Deceased is a sister.
