Lola M. Hails, 68, of Bentleyville (Fallowfield Township), died at 6:45 p.m. Thursday, April 16, 1998, in Washington Hospital. Mrs. Hails enjoyed crocheting, gardening, helping others and walking in the park with her husband. On April 3, 1946, she married John R. "Jack" Hails Sr., who survives, and with whom she celebrated their 52nd anniversary. Surviving are nine children, John R. Jr. of Blandon, Gary L. of Wyomissing, David M. of Bentleyville, Barry E. of Oceola, Fla., Linda M. Hails Kreider and Bruce A. Hails, both of Birdsboro, Donna J. Hails King of Shillington, Carol A. Hails of Dushore and Patricia L. Hails Pancerella of Bentleyville; 28 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack Starr of Sarasota, Fla., and Leslie Starr of Bentleyville; two sisters, Pat Magnelli of McKees Rocks and Betty Smoot of Riverside, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews. She was born June 15, 1929, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of Charles and Marion Neimi Starr.
