Jeffrey Duane Barnes Sr., 35, of Waynesburg, R.D.1, died Monday, April 20, 1998, in Washington Hospital from Alpha 1 - antitrypsin deficiency. Mr. Barnes was a 1981 graduate of Trinity High School. He was a member of Lower Ten Mile Presbyterian Church of Amity and was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. On June 9, 1990, he married Barbara A. Tennant Barnes, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Shelby Barnes, at home; a son, Jeffrey Duane Barnes Jr., at home; two brothers, Jim Barnes of Washington and Brad Barnes of Saltsburg; his paternal grandmother, Mrs. Louie Barnes of Rices Landing; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
