He was former chairman of the board and co-founder of Civic Finance Service Inc., where he served from 1949-1995; chairman of Washington Investors Corp. of Pennsylvania from 1985-1990; owner of Al Metzner Associates, Harrisburg, from 1975-1990; and former chairman of Bayshore Development Corp. of Tampa, Fla., where he served from 1985-1992.
