Steven J. Smoggie, 59, of Clarksville, died Thursday, April 23, 1998, following an illness of 18 months. Mr. Smoggie was a retired steelworker, having worked for Jessop Steel Corp. of Washington for more than 35 years. He was a 1957 graduate of East Bethlehem High School, a member of St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church of Brownsville and a member of United Steelworkers of America. Surviving are his wife of 22 years, Rose Mary Seese Smoggie; a son, Steven Todd Smoggie of Waynesburg R.D.1; a daughter, Monica Lynn Steinburg of Las Vegas, Nev.; seven grandchildren, Adam and Breanna Steinburg, Vincent Clinton, and Steven Sean Smoggie, Linda Langley, Lana Austin and Matthew McVicker; two brothers, George Smoggie Jr. of Clarksville and John Smoggie of Wickliffe, Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.
