Charles Roman, 73, of Richeyville, died at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, 1998, in his home. Mr. Roman was a member of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church of West Brownsville, United Steelworkers of America, S.O.A.R. and Hancock-McCune-Horne American Legion Post 705 of Centerville. A retired steelworker, he worked for LTV Steel Corp. in Hazelwood, retiring in 1984. Mr. Roman was a veteran of World War II, serving with the Marine Corps in Okinawa in the South Pacific. Surviving are his wife, Pauline Bobcheck Roman; two sons, Charles M. Roman of Bentleyville and Bernard A. Roman of Uniontown; two stepsons, Edward and Francis Bobcheck, both of Uniontown; three grandsons, Chuckie, Chase and Clay Roman; two sisters, Christine Babich of Fayette City and Mary Sesco of Centerville; a brother, John Roman of Brownsville; and several nieces and nephews.
