Joseph Dixon, 77, of McDonald, died Monday, April 27, 1998, in Vencor Hospital. Mr. Dixon retired from Dravo Corporation where he was a shearman. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II. Mr. Dixon was a member of St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church and was a member of the Shipbuilders Union. On September 16, 1947, he married Loretta T. Sylanski, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Debra Dixon Lemasters of McDonald; a brother, Henry Dixon of Bridgeville, and a granddaughter, Samantha Lemasters.
