Thomas Regis Swart, 77, of North Franklin Street, Washington, died unexpectedly at 12:30 p.m. Friday, April 3, 1998, in his home. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. For many years, he was employed as a grinder at McGraw Edison. Mr. Swart was a 1938 graduate of Immaculate Conception High School. He enjoyed photography and gardening. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army, receiving the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the World War II Victory Medal and the Purple Heart. Surviving are two brothers, Fred Swart of Clio, Mich., and Robert Swart of Dunedin, Fla.; a sister, Geraldine Dulaney of Melvern; and several nieces and nephews.
