Marjorie Day Walter, 77, of St. Louis, Mo., died Sunday, March 22, 1998. On June 22, 1946, she married Paul M. Walter, who died November 9, 1985. Mrs. Walter graduated from Washington High School in 1938 and the University of Pittsburgh in 1942, where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. Mrs. Walter was an accomplished musician, well-known throughout the area, and had been active for several years in two St. Louis repertory companies as an officer and pianist. She was also a member of the "River Blenders," which is a local chapter of the Sweet Adelines. Surviving are a son, Dennis H. Walter of Houston, Texas; a sister, LaGene D.
