Francis F. Brown, 79, of 169 Porter Street, Waynesburg, died Friday, August 7, 1998, in Uniontown Hospital. He was formerly employed as a branch manager of Associates Finance Co., Uniontown, and he had served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Brown was a member of Elks Lodge 757, Moose Lodge 461 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4793, all of Waynesburg. Surviving are a daughter, Melodie Brown of Waynesburg; two granddaughters, Bethany and Allyson Phillips; a sister, Betty Parker; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are his wife, Alma Main Brown, who died June 3, 1983; a daughter, Beverly Phillips; and two brothers, Lester and Calvin Brown.
