Frank Kencec Sr., 77, of Orrville, Ohio, formerly of Southview, died Saturday, August 8, 1998, at his home, following a period of declining health. Mr. Kencec was a retired coal miner and a member of SNPJ of Southview. On November 20, 1939, in Canonsburg, he married Mildred A. Hawkins, who died December 29, 1981. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia DeHart of Orrville and Nancy Paterniti of Las Vegas, Nev.; three brothers, Nick Kencec of McDonald, John Kencec of Curry and Joseph Kencec of Westland; four sisters, Sophie Poklemba, Wilma Munsky and Agnes Cook, all of Florida, and Mary DeBlander of Strabane; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Deceased are a son, Frank Kencec Jr.; and brother Steve Kencec. According to the wishes of the deceased, cremation took place, and services will be private.
