John D. Anderson, 80, of Bentleyville, died at 1 p.m. Tuesday, August 11, 1998, in Mon Valley Hospital. Mr. Anderson was employed by Bethlehem Mines Corp., Mine 60, as a general mine foreman, retiring in 1975. He was a member of Ave Marie Parish, St. Clements Church, in Ellsworth. On September 30, 1939, he married Mildred Shernisky, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Ronald J. Anderson of North Hills; a brother, Joseph Anderson of Carmichael, Calif.; a nephew he raised, Barry Prepski of Scenery Hill; a granddaughter, Kim; and several other nieces and nephews.
