Wilma Belle Burgard, 68, of Washington, died Thursday, August 13, 1998, in Washington Hospital following a brief illness. On July 28, 1953, in Washington, she married Walter C. Burgard, who survives. Also surviving are one son, Brent A. Burgard of Washington; two daughters, Barb Collins Ruschell of Houston and Debbie J. Greer of Washington; one stepson, Stephen K. Burgard of Florida, two brothers, Jimmy Johnston Sr. of Eighty Four and John "Butch" Johnston of Washington; one sister, Ruth E. Moore of Charleston, W.Va.; 13 grandchildren, Anitra Mangus, Tiffany Marie Burgard and Mark David Burgard, whom Mrs. Burgard raised following the death of her daughter Candy Kim Zill, Melodie Bollinger, Mark Ruschell, Joseph Ruschell, Cory L. Burgard, Jason P. Burgard, Jennifer M. Hewett, Jonathan B. Burgard, Cy Greet, Ryan Greer and Sherry; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her daughter, deceased are three sisters, Dorothy McCracken, Maxine Dunn and Bertha Gilson.
