Olive J. Mayer, 79, of Richfield Township, Ohio, formerly of Nemacolin, died at 6 p.m. Friday, August 14, 1998, in Falling Waters Health Care Center, Strongsville, Ohio.

She was born December 22, 1918, in Ronco, a daughter of John and Rachel Fata Polish.
Mrs. Mayer had been a resident of Nemacolin since 1941, where she was a member of Our Lady of Consolation Catholic Church.
On August 23, 1941, she married Louis Mayer, who died August 23, 1977.
Surviving are two sons, John R. Mayer of Richfield Township and Barry E. Mayer of Fairview Park, Ohio; three grandchildren, Pamela Mrugacz, Kinberly Kessler and John E. Mayer; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Polish of Arizona and Louis Polish of Nevada; two sisters, Eleanor DeLuca of Crucible and Amelia Venicasa of Masontown; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are a brother, Mike Polish; a sister, Ida Ann Clearage; a half-brother, Joe Polish; and a half-sister, Rose Pulice.
