R. Kenneth Gessler

Retired self-employed public accountant
R. Kenneth Gessler, 86, of 116 Trotters Court, Venetia, formerly of DeMar Boulevard, Canonsburg, died Tuesday, August 18, 1998, in Manor Care, Peters Township.

Mr. Gessler was born April 21, 1912, in Canonsburg, a son of Frank and Theresa Brockner Gessler.
A lifelong Canonsburg area resident, Mr. Gessler was a member of St. Benedict the Abbott Church of McMurray, the Fraternal Order of Eagles of Canonsburg, and the Loyal Order of Moose of Canonsburg.
Prior to retirement he was a self-employed public accountant.
On November 22, 1952, he married Amelia Borrelli Gessler, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Kenneth Gessler of Petaluma, Calif., Timothy Gessler of Canonsburg and Vincent Racioppi of Houston; three daughters, Roberta Gessler of Canonsburg, Kathleen Dasta of Bellingham, Wash., and Terry Hart of Venetia; four brothers, Frank Gessler of Washington, Carl Gessler of Boynton Beach, Fla., Herb Gessler of Lawrence and Ray Gessler of Ohatchee, Ala.; three sisters, Lillian Gessler of Canonsburg, Julia Kimes of Carmichaels and Lois Frank of Liberty, Miss.; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two brothers, William and Daniel Gessler; and a sister, Virginia Gessler.
