Pete Kapustynski, 70, of 160 Locust Avenue, Canonsburg, died at 12:07 p.m. Tuesday, August 18, 1998, in Allegheny University Hospital - Canonsburg. Mr. Kapustynski was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Canonsburg, where he resided for the past 40 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Germany during the Korean War and was a member of the American Legion. Mr. Kapustynski played the accordion in the Bobby Vinton Band in the 1950s. He was a modler at Canonsburg Pottery for 25 years and he also worked as a winder's helper at McGraw-Edison for 20 years. After retirement, he worked part-time for Servicemaster in Canonsburg. On October 28, 1963, he married Ruth Webb who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Peter Charles Kapustynski of Pittsburgh, and Kevin John Kapustynski of Canonsburg; a daughter, Leslee Ann Kapustynski of Canonsburg; a stepdaughter, Candi Dicks of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a brother, Nick Kapustynski of Canonsburg; and four sisters, Katherine Zuleba of Avella, Pearl DeFelice of Burgettstown, Eva Ballard of Baltimore, Md., and Sophie Braddock of Canonsburg; Deceased are two brothers, Mike and John Kapustynski; four sisters, Olga Shvdoff, Anna Stiffler, Nancy Zelenko and Tillie Koraido Copyright ©1998 Observer Publishing Co.Last updated Wednesday, August 19, 1998Pete Kapustynski
