Gerard E. (Jerry) Hoff, 79, of Graysville, formerly of Elizabeth, died Friday, July 31, 1998. Mr. Hoff flew 72 missions over Japanese territory with Marine Corps VMB 433 during World War II as a navigator-bombardier. He also was a member of Anglers Club of Clairton and Tri-County Leathernecks Association. Mr. Hoff retired from U.S. Steel's Irvin Works after 40 years of service. Surviving are his wife, Lillian M. Huff; two sons, Gerard Hoff of Lake Forest, Calif., and Karl Hoff of Arleta, Calif.; three daughters, Charlene Graham of Elizabeth, and Lillian M. Johnson and Lisa M. Hoff, both of Graysville; one sister, Helen Marie Hoff of Pleasant Hills; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
