Bruno "Pee Wee" Latini, 78, of McDonald, died Wednesday, August 19, 1998, in his home. Mr. Latini was a member of Irons Memorial Presbyterian Church, McDonald. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and on D-day was wounded on Omaha Beach, France, and was awarded the Purple Heart and Silver Star for bravery in action. He retired from Universal Cyclops, Bridgeville, in January of 1979, after 39 years of service. Mr. Latini was an avid duck pin bowler, and in sanctioned league bowling (ARDBC), had the highest average in the U.S. and Canada. Mr. Latini was an amateur artist and enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and watching his grandchildren play sports. On June 29, 1946, he married Anna Ciammaichella, who survives. Also surviving are a son, William Latini of Midway; three daughters, Barbara Wiener of Texas, Carol Bailey of Washington and Janice Vernillo of Midway; two brothers, Dan Latini of McDonald and Deno Latini of Bridgeville; two sisters, Annie Eiler of McDonald and Dena Amend of Bridgeville; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
