Vance Clayton Hickman, 80, of Tampa, Fla., died Tuesday, August 18, 1998, in Vencor Hospital, St. Petersburg, Fla. Mr. Hickman was Methodist. He was an agricultural farmer and lived in the Tampa area since 1998, coming from Vero Beach, Fla. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a lifetime member of American Legion Post 39 of Vero Beach. Surviving are a brother, Clarence Hickman of Beallsville; and a sister, Grace H. Williams of Tampa, Fla. Graveside services are to be held Friday, August 21, in Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Fla.
