Pearl McDonald Charlton, 89, of Washington, died Sunday, August 23, 1998, in McMurray Hills Manor, Peters Township. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church of Washington. Mrs. Charlton worked as an etcher for Duncan-Miller Glass Co. Her husband, John Logan Charlton, died October 8, 1979. She was previously married to Russell Herbert McDonald. Surviving are a son, John McDonald of Washington; two daughters, Dorothy Anderson and Betty Kramer, both of Washington; three sisters, Blanche Haley and Mary Rodgers, both of Washington, and Sylvia Haught of Charleroi; three grandchildren, Russell Anderson, Wayne Shanor and Melvin McDonald; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are infant twin daughters, Pauline and Geraldine McDonald; three sisters, Violet DeWitt, Ermina Hess and Elizabeth Emmerson; and three brothers, William, Warren and George Stilwell.
