J. Adrian Wilhelm

J. Adrian Wilhelm, 59, of Avella (Blaine Township), died Saturday, August 22, 1998, in Washington Hospital.

He was born April 21, 1939, in Wheeling, W.Va., a son of Anthony and Mabel Alma Kindelberger Wilhelm.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Immaculate Conception Parish, Claysville, where he was a member of the former parish council and finance committee. He served as the general contractor for the church's fellowship hall and was a caretaker of the church's building and grounds and of St. James Cemetery, Donegal Township.
Following his 1958 graduation from West Alexander High School, Mr. Wilhelm was a dairy farmer and then a grain farmer. For the past several years, he was a general contractor.
He was a co-founder of F.O.R.E. (Friends of R Environment) and a member of the McGuffey School Board from 1981 to 1995, having served as its president numerous times.
He enjoyed carpentry, landscaping and spending time with his family.
On September 21, 1963, in Immaculate Conception Church, Washington, he married Suzanne M. Swart, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, William Brian Wilhelm of North Hollywood, Calif.; three daughters, Christina Suzanne Nagy of Spartansburg, Kathleen Ann Williams of Pittsburgh and Michelle Marie Strope of Washington; two brothers, Anthony K. Wilhelm of West Alexander and the Rev. H. Joseph Wilhelm, S.M., of Wheeling, W.Va.; four sisters, Mabel Louise Curtis of West Alexander, Arielle May Balak of Waseca, Minn., Patricia Lou Johnston of Wheeling, W.Va., and Donna Margaret Strawn of Charleston, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Lauren and Chadwick Nagy, and Samuel and Anna Williams; and several nieces and nephews.
