Paul W. Mucha, 77, of McDonald, died Monday, August 24, 1998, in Mercy Hospital, Pittsburgh. Mr. Mucha was a member of St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, McDonald, and was a longtime member of its choir and the Outreach group. He was a 1939 graduate of McDonald High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Mucha was employed as a merchandising manager for 42 years, first at Thorofare supermarket and later at Open Pantry convenience store, retiring in 1982. He was a volunteer for Pittsburgh Vision Services in Bridgeville and enjoyed gardening. Surviving are three brothers, Henry L. of Crafton, James F. of Bridgeville and Alex "AB" Mucha of Granada Hills, Calif.; a sister, Betty L. Mucha of McDonald, with whom he made his home; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.
