Ollie "Olive" Guesman Ely, 98, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Carmichaels, died Wednesday, August 19, 1998, at the home of her daughter, Barbara Wilburn, with whom she made her home. Mrs. Ely was a charter member of a Christian church in Columbus; was a former elementary teacher in Greene County schools; and was an Avon representative for more than 50 years. Her husband, Charles C. Ely, died in 1985. Surviving, in addition to her daughter, are two granddaughters, three grandsons and six great-grandchildren. Deceased are a daughter, Lorraine Willis; a granddaughter; two grandsons; a sister, Mabel Thomas; and three brothers, Reuben, Joshua and Lowell Guesman. Burial was August 24 in Columbus.
