Mike Hardoby Jr., 70, a longtime resident of Everett, Wash., died of congestive heart failure Wednesday, August 19, 1998, at home in Duvall, Wash. Mr. Hardoby entered the Air Force at age 19 and while stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane, Wash., met and married his wife, Doris. They recently celebrated their 44th anniversary. The family resided in Everett for 27 years and the last three in Duvall. He worked for many years at Boeing and Weyerhauser, retiring in 1990 from Boeing. The family attended New Life Church for many years, beginning in 1972 when the church included less than 100 members. Mr. Hardoby took an active role in the church, serving as usher, among other activities,for many years. Surviving are his wife, Doris; a son, Michael Hardoby of Monroe, Wash.; four daughters, Norma Hayes of Stanwood, Wash., Denise Bickel of Everett, Missy Cox of Everett and Jody Hardoby of Bellevue, Wash.; 10 grandchildren; a sister, Joanne Stephens of Richeyville; and many nieces and nephews.
