Mildred E. "Mid" Edwards, 83, of Prosperity R.D.1, died at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday, August 26, 1998, in Presbyterian Health Care Center, Washington, following a brief illness. Mrs. Edwards was a former member of Pine Run Methodist Church in Clairton and was a current member of Fairmount United Methodist Church, East Finley Township. On September 19, 1947, she married Harold LeRoy Edwards, who died in 1978. Surviving are a stepson, Ronald C. Edwards of Ruffsdale; a brother, Carl R. Ealy of Claysville; two sisters, Helen Dorsey and Martha Martin, both of Prosperity R.D.1; two grandchildren, Lynn and Robert Edwards; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are four brothers, Ralph, Martin, Howard and Eugene Ealy; and three sisters, Leona I. Wright, Mary Ealy and Louise Ealy, who died in infancy. Prosperity woman formerly of Clairton
She was born in East Finley Township, a daughter of John Bentley and Nellie Edna Ashbrook Ealy. She had been a resident of Clairton for over 40 years prior to moving to Prosperity in 1994.
