Esther Roseberry Adams, 94, of Rices Landing, died Thursday, August 27, 1998, in Haney Personal Care Home in Rices Landing. Mrs. Adams was a U.S. Postal worker at the Rices Landing Post Office, where she also was acting postmaster for awhile. She was a homemaker who lived her entire life in Rices Landing. She was the last of her immediate family. Mrs. Adams was a member of Rices Landing Methodist Church and Daugthers of the American Revolution. Her husband, William Adams, died in 1969. Surviving are a daughter, Virginia Sellung of Clarksville; four grandchildren, Anthony Meza, with whom she made her home, and Bill Adams Jr., Barbara Adams and Roy Diamond; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a son, Bill Adams Jr.; four sisters, Irene Mosier, Reba Roseberry, Olive Dowlin and Lavada Branic; and a brother, Conrad Roseberry.
